About Tigerair Australia
Tigerair Australia is a domestic low cost carrier, committed to being the budget airline of choice for value and service. Tigerair flies a single fleet type, A320 aircraft, with seven aircraft based at Melbourne Airport Tullamarine, four based at Sydney Airport and two based at Brisbane Airport.
Tigerair Australia currently has 18 domestic routes and 12 destinations around Australia on sale, operating around 400 domestic flights per week, with around 72,000 seats per week available. Recently (March and April 2014) Tigerair added five new routes to the network (Sydney – Adelaide, Brisbane – Adelaide, Sydney – Whitsunday Coast Airport, Brisbane – Cairns and Brisbane – Darwin).
There is no big secret to securing the best value deals with Tigerair – generally the earlier you buy your flight, the more you can save. We recommend that you plan ahead and book early to guarantee great value fares. As demand increases closer in to the travel date, generally so does the cost of the flight.
Classes of Travel
