 About Royal Brunei Airlines

Royal Brunei Airlines, the country’s flag carrier, was established on the 18th of November 1974. In their first year of operation, Royal Brunei flew to Singapore, Hong Kong and Kota Kinabalu and Kuching in Malaysia. Over time Royal Brunei have extended their route network and now provide scheduled services across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Australasia, flying to 2 destinations in Australia, Perth and Brisbane.

In 2004, Royal Brunei Airlines was ranked the 5th best Business Class in Asia and 9th best worldwide in the Skytrax survey. Royal Brunei Airlines was also awarded a 4-star ranking, placing them in the same category as British Airways, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines and Qantas.


Classes of Travel

Business Class

In March 2004, Royal Brunei Airlines introduced the new SkyDreamer sleeper seats in its retrofitted B767 Business Class cabins. The SkyDreamer seat offer maximum comfort as they can be extend to 75" when fully reclined. The podded seat on Royal Brunei Business Class features a personal pull-up screen to provide extra privacy. Each seat comes equipped with in-seat power connector and a 10.4" personal TV. In November 2005, the “Dine Upon Request” meal concept was adopted on Royal Brunei Airlines, giving long-haul Business Class passengers the choice to dine at their desired time up to 90 minutes before landing.

Economy Class

Royal Brunei Airlines Economy Class, in the retrofitted B767 aircraft, offer seats with a 32" pitch, adjustable footrests and "winglet" headrests for improved neck comfort. The 8.4" personal TV provides on-going entertainment including audio and video on-demand choices. All Royal Brunei passengers enjoy the same caring service, along with skilfully prepared meals and a wide range of inflight entertainment options to choose from.


In-flight Entertainment

To complement the new seats, Royal Brunei have installed the new SkyShow personal inflight entertainment system in the entire cabin. SkyShow, offers a new level of service with 17 video on-demand selections, five broadcast video channels, 10 games, more than 150 compact discs audio-on-demand and 15 channels of continuous audio entertainment in a variety of languages.
