Australia’s Top 10 Family Holiday Deals List

Family holiday Deals

When you have a family and you are looking to take a holiday, you probably have to think about where you are going to go. Although a ‘get away from it all’ paradise haven may be ideal for some family members it probably won’t appeal to the kids very much, especially if there’s nothing to do all day but bask in the sunshine. Cost is another issue when you have a family to consider. So with this in mind, here are 5 great tips for organising that perfect family holiday and the best places to visit.

All inclusive family holiday packages Australia with Peppers Salt Resort & Spa Kingscliff.

https://www.peppers.com.au/new-south-wales/kingscliff/

If you’re searching for the perfect relaxation getaway, look no further than the tranquil town of Kingscliff. Located south of Tweeds Heads in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, this family resort town has been a popular option for generations of holidaymakers from New South Wales and Southern Queensland. With its ambient atmosphere, picturesque beaches and beautifully mild climate, you will be set to sit back, relax, and indulge in life’s simple pleasures.

Peppers Salt Resort & Spa offers modern and stylish accommodation, ensuring a memorable stay in Kingscliff.

What to do in the area

Kingscliff delivers when it comes to beautiful attractions and exciting activities. There’s something to please everyone in this stunning area, from adventurous beach activities and scenic hikes to delightful alfresco dining options and live entertainment on Kingscliff’s main strip.

If you’re in the mood to venture into the outdoors, there are countless natural delights in the Kingscliff region for you to explore. Mount Warning is particularly impressive; a volcanic caldera that provides much of the region with fertile volcanic soil to cultivate its fresh and delectable produce. Springbrook National Park is another must-see natural attraction, featuring spectacular waterfalls and beautiful greenery.

The Fingal Lighthouse and Hastings Point are popular locations to visit along the coastline, with their spectacular views across the water. The pristine golden beach that extends from Cabarita to Fingal offers a plethora of exciting activities for adventure lovers, including surfing, swimming, and diving. Head to the lookout at Cabarita during whale-watching season, which is a great vantage point from which to spot whales and dolphins. If you’re lucky, you might even see a turtle or two.

Our Mission

Here are Family Travel, we’re focused on helping families get the most out of their family time. We make it easier for families to get out and explore more, experiencing the best of a destination, whether that’s down the road or around the world. It’s a scary thought, but parents only have 18 summers with their kids while they’re still kids. Our mission is to help families make the most of that precious and limited time together.

Our Website

FamilyTravel.com.au helps families plan holidays and things to do that their whole family will enjoy. We do this by sharing stories about the best family-friendly activities, events and destinations. And also share insider tips, reviews and videos from local kids and families. We work hard to offer great family holiday competitions and share the best family travel deals we can find.

Our team understands that holidays are a sometimes activity for most people. So while we showcase lots of drool-worthy destination, wunderlust trips and luxury lodgings, it’s not all that we do. We also share tips and tricks for staycations, budgeting and money saving ideas as well as loads of free things to do. We love to share hotel and airline news and reviews. Sometimes we interview travel industry insiders or travelling families (check out some of our favourite Instagram travelling families) to share their insights. And we regularly publish travel news to help make family holiday planning easier.

Our Team

The team behind Family Travel is a small team of working parents. In and around researching and writing about family travel you will usually find us planning or heading out on a trip. Most of our team are based in Australia so you’ll find that we share lots of information about Down Under. We also have contributors in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East so we share local knowledge from those regions too.

Our Founder

The founder and driving force behind Family Travel is Janeece Keller, who until 2019 was a proud PANK, but is now a working mum. Janeece has visited 53 countries (and counting). She calls Sydney home and has lived in Australia, Germany, England, Switzerland and Ghana. Janeece travels through her tastebuds, loves rollercoasters, getting up high for a great view and walking the back streets of a new city. She’s been lucky enough to fly first class but usually buys the cheapest, least flexible ticket as she’d rather spend the money on in-destination experiences. Her favourite place in the world is Copacabana beach on the NSW Central Coast and her spiritual home is New York City.

Kids Holiday Deals

https://www.kidsholidaysonline.com.au/latest-deals.htm

The Kids Holidays Online site is family run, more as a hobby than a business, inspired by a lack of information about family friendly accommodation available on the internet, in travel brochures and in general.

The best way to use this site is by selecting your preferred holiday destination and utilising the information provided by the site. Destination pages offer helpful advice and information on a number of popular destinations that we’ve visited. Some family resorts have been reviewed and this information may be very helpful in deciding which resort to choose. All reviews are completely independent of the resort (ie we pay our own way) and are aimed at providing first hand information that you won’t get from a travel agent or the resort.

The popular experience page is a good place to find out what other families have experienced at a wide range of different resorts. You are likely to find at least one review of the more popular resorts and again, these comments are completely unbiased.

If you know where you want to go but don’t know where to stay, the accommodation pages attempt to list every family friendly resort available at each destination with a list of the family facilities and a link to each resorts web page. It’s an easy way to see what’s available without the need to search through dozens of sites.

Other helpful pages include our tips page with some good ideas on family travel, what to take with you, including a check list of medical requirements, info on school holiday timetables, and some links to immigration, weather and customs sites.

Australian Escapes

https://www.australianescapes.com.au/index.php

Australian Escapes was started by John Greenbury in 2001 in Brisbane to promote discounted resort accommodation packages. The first resort we promoted was Rydges Oasis Resort at Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. In 2002 we started the first travel club in Australia to provide members with access to a wider range of discounted resort options. Our Gold Coast office (pictured below) was opened in 2005.

Australian Escapes didn’t invent the holiday club concept or discount package marketing for resorts but we did a lot to professionalize the resort marketing industry and we introduced some marketing concepts that have become standard practice today.

In 2014 we commenced operations as a full-service travel agency offering members access to significant discounts off domestic and international travel of all types.

Revolutionising the travel industry

Australian Escapes challenges online and shop-front travel agent pricing by offering members the same or better service with travel package prices that are 10% to 40% lower. Members are often amazed and even shocked at the price differences. But don’t be suspicious, it’s simply because we don’t have the big retail overheads to support.

If you like to shop around online and book your own accommodation that’s OK, most of the time you will get reasonable pricing. However when you are planning Australian or overseas travel then know this: non-members paying full retail prices; members pay wholesale, saving sometimes thousands of dollars.

FLIGHT CENTRE PRICE BEATER

Call today to make a booking or enquire about joining and discover how you can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your first getaway.

here are some handy tips:

Do your homework on Travel insurance
Holiday insurance for a family is undoubtedly necessary, however it can be expensive. There are some good deals to be had if you know where to look. Don’t take the first insurance quote that you come across, instead shop around. Comparison sites have some of the best deals and some further research could unearth some real bargains.

India
Many people wouldn’t think of India as a family destination, but places such as Goa offer some great family hotels. There is also plenty to see and do here and it’s reasonably cheap once you get here too. Places like Palolem Beach are very child friendly, and you can also go dolphin watching. Most of the hotels have great pools for the kids to play in. Best of all, you can cheap air tickets from India and inbound which is extremely useful when travelling as a family!

Cycling in the Alps
If you have an active family, then there are some great holidays that are based around cycling. What better way to cycle than in the Alps. You can get from destination to destination at your own pace and there is as you would expect stunning scenery around every corner. And if you fancy it, you can squeeze in a family ski holiday while you’re there!

Rent a private villa
Renting a villa is a great idea if you have a large family, You have your own base from which to kick back and relax and it may not be as expensive as you think. There are some good deals online, particularly if you can go slightly out of peak season although it may be difficult with children. Most villas come with private pools so the kids can splash about till their heart’s content. Using your villa as a base, here you can decide where to go and what to do on the rest of your holiday.

Disneyland Paris
In 2012, Disneyland Paris celebrates its 20th anniversary and as a result they are offering some great
bargains. Ideally it is going to be predominantly for the kids and they’ll love you for it, but there are
also some other roller coasters and rides for the oldies, so there is something for everyone.
