Our first time in Dublin and we preferred not to stay right in the heart of the city. I booked the hotel accomodation online for Ballbridge Inn. At check in we accepted the special offer upgrade from standard double room to an executive room at Ballbridge Tower for an addtional 10 Euros a night. It was very easy check in, the hotel staff are very polite and helpful when needed. We stayed on the 8th floor. The first thing we noticed was that there is no welcome package/information booklet about the hotel and the area. The room was clean (except for the large window, that has some sort of dark dirt on the window frames), large bathroom, the bed is very comfortable, the room is airconditioned, has a little flat screen TV, there is water cooker, milk/tea/coffee/sugar sachets in a little cupboard in the walk in closet which is perfect for a person who need just a cup of coffee for breakfast. There is also an iron and ironing board in the walk in closet. The room can do with some up dating but everything worked well for us. The hotel is in a quiet, perfect location for walking and for exploring the city, with taxis outside the door and the buses stops only a minute away. The Dubliner bar is on the lobby and there is a grocery store onsite where you can find snacks, drinks, and the little things that you need. I will be stay there again when I return to Dublin. Close

We paid 60 Euros for a room in the Ballsbridge Tower. We had a king size bed and a large room. I thought it was good value. As mentioned is some other posts all the lights in the room didn't work, but there were many other light sources. The bus stop into town is very close and takes about 10 mintues. We used the car park and were charged 10 euros. I'd stay there again. Close

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and 4 nights, i arrived early in the morning. I walked into the hotel after being getting off the quick air bus service from the airport, which dropped me outside the hotel. My first impression was not great as the DUBLINER pub which belonged to the hotel was being painted and was closed. However i walked into reception and saw 3 people, 2 was talking to each and the third was the lovely ASTA who had a nice friendly smile and offered me a upgrade which i say to all long stayers go for it!, i took the offer and i was not disappointed. A massive room with a king size bed and plenty of space and was quiet for most of the time i was there, and the view from my window could have been better but i was able to see the new Lansdowne road AVIVA stadium. It is a small 15 minute walk back into the town but there is the number 7 bus which you can catch into town, if your going into town more than once then get a ramblers ticket from a newsagent for 6 euros for the day as at 1.60 each way it can get expensive. The City centre has loads of things to see and do, and on my stay i went to dublin zoo and the guinness storehouse. The things i had issues with was in the room it self, the lights didnt all work, and after reporting them to a member of the reception team, and then being crossed off by there fixing guy, it had not been done.. also crossed off to say was done but not done was the lights in the bathroom above the tiolet and some of the draws didnt open to put my clothes in, but apart from that its a great place to stay. so if you are booked into the INN or the TOWER at ballsbridge then if offered the upgrade take it. for 10 euro's per night its so much value. Internet is not included so be warned. If you stay, then i hope you get to met asta in reception, Kelly in the bar and Bernadette also in reception, who was more than helpful and friendly whilst i was there Close

Large old reinforced concrete construction hotel, large rooms - cleaning staff is excellent and has to struggle with the old heavy furniture and carpeted floor and the controll staff - the administration staff is snotnosed - the window can be opened only 10 cm. The rooms to the streetside can be loud at seven in the morning. The rooms on the backside shows a ugly court. There is a supermarket included. The bathroom is likley from the middle of the ´70s! Otherwise it is OK. Close
